WHAT Iā€™M ABOUT

ARTIST AND ENGINEER

I recently graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Manufacturing and Design Engineering with a focus on accessible design and fine art.
MaDE was a unique blend of an analytical problem-solving approach blended with creativity and empathy for the people we design for. In addition to a focus on a wholistic design approach, I took as many classes exploring manufacturing methods as I could. I believe it's important not only to know WHY you're making something but also HOW to do it. This approach to design gave me an ability to think with my whole brain, studying the problem from every angle and perspective possible. I have had the rewarding opportunity to be able to hone my classical art skills with a mathematical backbone, allowing me to have a different perspective.

DIVERSE INTERESTS

While my main focus is in product design, particularly geared towards making accessible design readily available and aesthetically pleasing, I have a multidisciplinary approach to design. I am addicted to learning new things and trying to use these new skills to perfect old skills, with the intention of blending as many art forms and creative ways of thinking as possible.

RETHINKING AND REDOING

My main approach to designing a product is constantly rethinking the already-existing solution. Every design can be improved to appeal to a wider range, it just needs to be given the time and patience to reach that point. Design should always be evolving rather than remaining stagnant. I love implementing this way of thinking in everything I create.
